AlOOH is γ－Al₂O₃precursor, with its unique chemical, optical and mechanical properties, has been widely used in the fields of ceramic materials, composites, surface protective layer materials, optical materials, catalysts and carrier materials, semiconductor materials and coatings. Boehmite belongs to biconical point group in orthorhombic system. It is white crystal. Boehmite is a positive biaxial crystal.

With the increase of hydrolysis temperature, the crystallinity of the product increased significantly, and the specific surface and pore volume decreased significantly; Controlling a certain pH value, increasing the hydrothermal treatment process and increasing the amount of water can significantly improve the dispersion of boehmite sol; Prolonging the hydrothermal time will reduce the specific surface and pore volume of the product. The results showed that the optimum hydrolysis temperature was 85 ~ 90 ℃, the hydrothermal treatment temperature was 200 ℃ and the treatment time was three hours.
