AlOOH is γ－ Al2O3 precursor, with its unique chemical, optical and mechanical properties, has been widely used in the fields of ceramic materials, composites, surface protective layer materials, optical materials, catalysts and carrier materials, semiconductor materials and coatings. Uniform and stable dispersion is one of the important conditions for boehmite to exert its superior properties of nano materials; The boehmite has the characteristics of small size, specific surface and large pore volume.
Boehmite belongs to biconical point group in orthorhombic system. It is white crystal. Due to the impurities contained in it, it often has yellow, green, brown or red spots, with glass or pearl luster. The Mohs hardness is 3 to 3.5 and the specific gravity is 3 to 3.07. Boehmite is a positive biaxial crystal.
With the increase of hydrolysis temperature, the crystallinity of the product increased significantly, and the specific surface and pore volume decreased significantly; Controlling a certain pH value, increasing the hydrothermal treatment process and increasing the amount of water can significantly improve the dispersion of boehmite sol; Prolonging the hydrothermal time will reduce the specific surface and pore volume of the product. The results showed that the optimum hydrolysis temperature was 85 ~ 90 ℃, the hydrothermal treatment temperature was 200 ℃ and the treatment time was three hours.
